According to my dictionary, the 's' version can also mean:

persnickety
adj 1: used colloquially of one who is overly conceited or
arrogant; "a snotty little scion of a degenerate
            family"-Laurent Le Sage; "they're snobs--stuck-up and
uppity and persnickety" [syn: bigheaded, snooty, snot-nosed,
snotty, stuck-up, too big for one's breeches, uppish]

Which doesn't sound very flattering... :-)

I think we can safely assume that Jamie meant the other definition...

-RN ("a snotty little scion of a degenerate family")
