I apologize for my earlier question. I don't mean that I want someone to write a program for me. I was just perhaps looking for some generic info on Perl's capability to generate email? If that exists?
Perl can definitely do anything you said, including generating e-mail, yes. The are good modules for this, but that is not where you should begin, I think.
