which shows me that the accept function doesn't exit. am i miss something?
That IS weird! I tried doing the same to the main program, but there it makes no difference. You got any idea what I need to modify my current program?
not really but after a call to deliverMail, you have:
CORE::exit;
which halts execution. this is normal. i still don't see any problem with that.
I came to this list, because someone were perhaps able to see why it didn't work.
You have any idea where else to ask, or am I doomed to hours/days of intense debugging?

But thanks a lot for taking the time to take a look, I know you guys don't have a lot of time here in the time of x-mas.
