Didn't know it wasn't in Perl, but I've just discovered it's possible with some file called "Switch.pm"

You mean the 'Switch' module. (Sorry, I should have mentioned it in my previous email.)
Sure, just include the line 'use Switch;' in the beginning of your program. I don't know the advantages/disadvantages of using it.
