I am attempting to install the module Digest::MD5 and it fails with the makefile for the module. The error reported is "*** missing separator. Stop". This is on a Red Hat WS 3 box with all the latest updates installed that includes perl 5.8. I thought Red Hat 7.3 had this same problem caused by UTF-8 Unicode interpretation but was fixed with a new perl-Digest-MD5.i386.rpm. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
