Also, if one of the "Guru's" reads the second starting of the thread, he/she will not 
know what you are asking.

The starting point of  your DOS prompt does not matter.  The reason it does not matter 
is because you have the directory for the executables in your path.  That is of course 
if you indeed do have it in it, which was my original question to you?
Once you create a Perl script and save it, then you will need to change directory to 
it to run your script.

Did you type in path and verify that c:\perl\bin\ is in the path?
