Nobody is *entitled* to look at copyrighted data. No matter what their economic status is. Being poor is no excuse, regardless of how badly you want to learn.
Again, your attitude disgusts and disrespects me and my fellow authors. Especially considering that Perl has completely adequate core docs, and there *are* free add-on docs. *Nothing* can justify the pirating of a copyrighted work in this arena. *Nothing*.
I don't believe it's right either. This for one isn't a communism we live in right? Basicly I was implying that how you feel towards the issue, others do too about the situations they are in. And it being illegal is the reason we don't feel bad for people that break laws.
When I learnt perl I was living in a shelter for children, I was around 15 years old wondering where I would live, and what I would do with my future. After spending numerous months in shelters I realised that the vast majority of them (if any) did not bring you to a library, did not give you access to computers, and basicly gave two shits about your success in life. So when I found a shelter that brought me to a library, I found oreillys "Programming Perl". Now, knowing this, and knowing that I wouldn't be in this shelter long, that I was moving to another shelter and being passed around like an object once again. I kept the book which was taken out in the name of the shelter, and brought it with me to my next shelter. The book was basicly my bible for a good half year or better.I learnt perl. It was a good while later when I got out of the shelter systems, and when I did I had something I could say I knew, something I could support my back with. Now I live in a good household and will be soon on my own, hopefuly going to college.
If you think this is was a wrong choice to make, I would like to see you in the situation. Once again, I don't admit it was a moraly "wrong" thing to do.
