My question would be "why"? Its kind of like driving a king around in a Pinto.
Why use crappy old PHP to execute Perl to do the real work? Just use Perl instead of PHP .
Assuming you're being forced at gun point to do it that way, wouldn't a PHP list be better able to teach you how to use PHP to execute cgi scripts?
