CGI::Session is perfect for this. You don't have to use a database (eg.
MySQL), but can if you like.
You can set as many session variables as you like.
E.g.
my %font = { size => 12, color => "red", style => "italic", type =>
"Verdana" };
$session->param("font", \%font);
