Yes, that sounds correct. I have never digged deep into Perl sources, there should be someone else in this list who can varify this. One thing you can try to do is contact Mandrake Developers, and see if anyone has encountered this problem. Alternatively you can download Perl source and compile it your self, in which case you will have all the header files. Let us know how it go's.
