Another good book is _Learning Perl Objects, References and Modules_, Schwartz and Phoenix. I've owned the book for almost a year, and I still refer to it all the time.
I second this book wholeheartedly. Google is also a very good starting point.
Also "Creating Perl Modules for CPAN", by Tregar.
(I think this may have already been mentioned here but if not) it was just opened for free download.
