Steps to install on UNIX style machines

The automated way

perl -MCPAN -e install Time::TimeTick

The manual way

1. Download the tar.gz file (in this case
http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/P/PJ/PJS/Time-TimeTick-0.04.tar.gz)
2. uncompress and untar the file
3. change directory into the new directory
4. type "perl Makefile.PL"
5. type "make"
6. type "make test", this is optional
7. type "make install"

Now include the module in your code

#!/usr/bin/perl

use strict;
use Time::TimeTick;

END { timetick("Ending") }

timetick("Starting phase 1");
#phase 1
timetick("Starting phase 2");
#phase 2
