Thanks Rob,
That does make sense,  unfortunately, I get a similar error installing
Tk,

Here is my entire command for that:

cpan[1]> install Tk
Running install for module 'Tk'
Running make for S/SR/SREZIC/Tk-804.028.tar.gz
  Has already been unwrapped into directory /root/.cpan/build/Tk-804.028-r9jDlm
  '/usr/bin/perl Makefile.PL INSTALLDIRS=site' returned status 512, won't make
Running make test
  Make had some problems, won't test
Running make install
  Make had some problems, won't install


It seems like a related problem, Did I do this right?
