Hello. I am looking for a few Perl books that are good for beginners who have very little or no programming skills, but use computers for software quality assurance/SQA testings. The books need to be easy to understand and learn based on Windows environments (2000, XP, and Vista).
My two Perl friends (use Linux) suggested these two old books: 1. http://oreilly.com/catalog/9781565923249/ (1997 though and mentions Windows NT) 2. http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Perl-3rd-Larry-Wall/dp/0596000278/ref=pd_sim_b_1 (has UNIX references; from 2000). However, my boss said they seem a bit out of date and that Perl has evolved from 1997 and 2000. She wanted a more recent one. Also, the above two books are for UNIX. Thank you in advance. :) -- "An ant can do more than an ox that is lying down." --unknown /\___/\ / /\ /\ \ Phil/Ant @ http://antfarm.home.dhs.org (Personal Web Site) | |o o| | Ant's Quality Foraged Links (AQFL): http://aqfl.net \ _ / E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] ( ) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://learn.perl.org/
