Not so right.
This can only dump the package variables, not a my variable.

# perl -MData::Dumper -e '$test=123;print Dumper \%::' |grep test
          'test' => *::test,

# perl -MData::Dumper -e 'my $test=123;print Dumper \%::' |grep test
[nothing]
