Hi all I'm wondering if anyone had come accross a system in perl that can handle physical documents that are scanned in to a system and OCR them and put them into a database. I know its a bit much to ask. but I don't want to reinvent the wheel, if you know what I mean.
implementing this in perl would be a case of getting the doc's as pictures adding them to a database, and making them the doc's search able on a database. Well that is the idea :) so I am wondering if there is anything out there in CPAN that could help me, or if anyone has any ideas, would be greatly appreciated.
