NetApp seems to be the theives of the corporate software world and will use any technology they can get their hands on with the knowledge that no one can afford the legal fees to sue them. As I understand it Moinak had written a lovely compressed DVD/CD filesystem for BeleniX years ago and the nice folks at NetApp simply stole the whole idea and then went a bit further with it. I think he had made the reasonable mistake of putting it on his resume. In any case .. that was what I was thinking.
