1. Everyone should get some honorarium
2. Disburse the said amount to all of them who already have translated atleast 1000/2000 strings regardless the accuracy.
3. Whatever the deserving number of members, divide that 5k equally within them.
4. you can also convert the money into Prize-bonds / Mobile Pre-paid card or it could be BOL dialup Pre-paid card :-D
Oh! about monitoring....why don't you track and follow the "Karma" mechanism in Rosetta-launchpad, it is proven, tested and authenticated by the Ubuntu.
