IMO, this is more of a rendering issue and not a problem with fonts. All
the four words that you have typed above are rendered perfectly on
Thunderbird, Firefox, Gedit and what not (with old & new Lohit fonts).
Can you tell us where are you testing this?
I think we already discussed about OOo's rendering problem before. It
doesn't render BaFola well indeed. BoFola didn't go where it should. You
can check the new version if it's fixed by now.
