Linode is an US company, so it is subject to US law. US privacy laws are not the best, even if you ignore that officially the weak laws are routinely ignored. I've researched hosters and jurisdictions, and 1984.is appeared to be one of the best, included professed attitudes (e.g. see http://torproject.is/ ). You can contact Mörður Ingólfsson @ 1984.is to find out more. If you only care about price and connectivity, then perhaps you should pick somebody else. _______________________________________________ Beowulf mailing list, [email protected] sponsored by Penguin Computing To change your subscription (digest mode or unsubscribe) visit http://www.beowulf.org/mailman/listinfo/beowulf
