In http://www.newt.com/debian/blog.html habe ich einen Hinweis gefunden: ... while this worked for kernel 2.6.18, later kernel versions broke it! It is still not working as of 2.6.22. I inserted the garmin_gps module and tried using /dev/ttyUSB0 instead of usb: and I was able to back up the Garmin!
