Welcome Catrina, There are a few folks on the list that also have rotties, so they may be of great help to you when comparing the breeds.
I owned a wonderful Rottie boy before I got my Bernese. He was I must admit THE perfect dog-and I had only gotten him because I couldn't find a Berner-that was many many years ago. Well when he died I knew I could never find another Rottie as wonderful as Baer so I again started my search for a Berner. My first boy was so much like my Rottie that I have never looked back. >>> Catrina <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 10/10/02 03:24PM >>> Hello my name is Catrina and I'm presently dogless. I was once owned by a sweet Rottweiler names Sassy. I lost her 4 years ago and haven't owned a dog since. I'm going to be purchasing a new puppy soon in my future. I'm hoping to have a set plan in dec/jan. I've always been curious about burnese mountain dogs and decided that maybe I want to get one of these instead of another rotty. So I decided to join your list and see what I can learn before I make a decision. I've read various things about the breed on the net just the last few days. I'm interested in tracking, obedience, and possible conformation. I'm NOT interested in breeding. I leave that up to the professionals that know what they are doing. Thanks for having me and I hope to learn a great deal! Catrina Butterworth __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
