I came home this afternoon and Amy was on the floor crying that special berner whimper because she could not get up. I have been working with my vet for months to help lessen her lower back arthritis pain and loss of muscle mass in her hips. He is going to give her steroid injections and see if they helped any with the pain. I also plan to get started with acupuncture. Afraid all is too late for my old lady. Put her in your berner prayers. This dog saved my life and I have only wanted to make her life safe, fun and pain free while I have watched over her. I will keep you posted. Karen Alexander
