As a former law enforcement associated person, I am here to tell you, never never never never put your street address on a dog tag. All anyone needs to know when they find your lost dog, is who s/he belongs to, what city they live in, and a phone number.
Many years ago, a person in our jurisdiction, had a dog who wandered the town and made his rounds. He was properly tagged, and had many friends. His owners were frequently burgled, as were the neighbors. Ever wonder how that happened? The dog told everyone he came in contact with, where he lived.
