Sallie has been having a reaction to her sutures from her spay. She was spayed in the end of August, healed well to begin with, then her scar started to puff way up. By the end of the second day of swelling when we finally got her to the doctor, her scar was totally swollen and red- horrible looking. (And I was in tears!) She was put on Rimadyl, and I think 500 mg of Clavamox twice a day for 7 days. She was fine by the end of the course of antibiotics, but swelled up again a week later. So she went back on antibiotics, but they insisted on giving the same dose (so stupid to me). So she cleared up, but now she's swollen AGAIN and we have to get more antibiotics.
Shouldn't the stitches be gone by now? How could she possibly still be reacting to them? Well, if anyone will have a bizarre problem, it's Sallie! Kendra, Jackson, and Sallie
