YIppee! We got our first real layer of snow last night, and the berners
are sooo happy!
Cessi, my mature lady, was dancing around like a puppy. Tucker, who really
still is a puppy, was dancing and biting at the funny white stuff. He
hasn't seen snow since he was eight weeks old and we had a huge dump of the
stuff the day after I brought him home.
We were out for the night (Leafs finally broke that awful streak, and
Tucker's namesake scored!) and when we came home, the sheer awfulness of
having not spent the evening on the couch with us plus the excitement of
SNOW was too much for anyone to settle down. Cessi was on and off the bed,
on and off the bed, on and off the bed, lying down with us, but too
"squirmy wormy" to cuddle for long, and chasing her tail on her bed (which
is generally reserved for times when she feels very silly). Tucker was up
and down for an hour - couldn't settle and just wanted to go OUTSIDE NOW to
play in more of the stuff.
Sadly it's melting now, but surely this bodes well for a good long winter
of berner delights in the SNOW!
Jen, having too much fun with
Cessi and TUcker
