Hi all,

Some time ago someone posted about the "Anxiety Wrap" that could be used for
terror during thunderstorms, etc. After checking out the site, I was very
impresed by some of the testimonials. But was not sure if I was willing to
spend $75.

We had a minor thunderstorm a few weeks ago and I made an Anxiety Wrap using
the very smallest t-shirt I could find [from a long time ago...sigh] and
used a wide Ace bandage to wrap the t-shirt on Ari.We wrapped her snugg but
not so it would cut off any circulation. She is the girl scared of
thunderstorms. It worked well. She still wanted to be close to us, but there
was not the normal trembling, drooling and wanting to sit on our face.

Well when the bad, bad storms came through last week [tornado
warnings....lightning and thunder and high winds] this was a real
opportunity to try out our homemade device. I would like to report that it
worked. She was stressed but not panicky. Again, no drooling or trembling.
She just wanted to be near us. And we wanted her near us as we heard the
tornado siren and went to basement with both leashes, candles and a bottle
of wine. [Hey if you're going out.....]

I highly recommend the theory behind the Anxiety Wrap. You can go to their
website www.anxietywrap.com or engineer your own. I found it interesting
that they compared it to the "hug box" that is often used for autistic
children.

Thought I'd pass along this success story. Bacchus is not phased by
thunderstorms.....he hates those little things at the 4th of July that go
"whistle......pop".....he HATES the whistle part. LOL
