Brenda, Thanks for trying, we'll figure something out! It looks as though your message came through in plain text, but you'll see what it looks like to some people, I'm including it below.
There is a cutoff size for the digest, at 50,000 bytes it creates a digest and sends it out. Many mail services have problems with large emails, so it was an arbitrary decision made several years ago. Generally there is only one digest a day, but if we get onto a topic that has people sending a lot of responses, we sometimes have 3 a day. (Another reason to not copy the whole message everyone!!!) As for messages repeating, well, sometimes people don't see a message come across, so they resend it. Sometimes it gets sent in HTML and resent as plain text, there are all sorts of reasons. The error message "message truncated" appears if an email is more than 200 lines long. That was done last winter in order to cut down on the number of digests that got created in any given day if people did a "reply-to" the entire digest without cutting the original digest post in their response.
