I am so excited to report that I am no longer Berner-less. I lost my Mulligan a year and a half ago, when he was 4 years old, to cancer. I had a baby about three months before that, so a new puppy was not in the cards (I also have 3 other dogs Tollers and a lab mix). And I really didnt want a puppy, I wanted Mulligan back. I was starting to really miss having a big dog around the house I kept buying all the stuffed Berners out there my toddler son thought it was great to climb all over them. I was resigned to spend another winter with no big dog to hug when, out of nowhere Ray and Pat Burgett needed to find a forever home for their Boomer. His elbows did not clear, and they needed to make room for a new puppy, if they could find a good home for Boomer. THEY DID!!! I picked him up on Saturday and he is a DREAM!!! Miracles DO happen it is as close as I could ever get to having Mulligan back. He is sweet, mellow, well behaved, gets along with my dogs, is fantastic with my son Jacob, and is BIG!! I am so happy I really never thought I would have another dog like Mulligan. I am sure I will have no problem getting him Delta Certified. Boomer is here with me at work today to meet everyone, and for me to see how he does down here. No problems he is just hanging out, chewing on a bone. Even my husband has said how great he is, and how much like Mulligan he is. Now dont worry I know Boomer is his own dog, and I dont expect him to be just like Mulligan, but a few similarities sure are nice! At only 2 years old, I know Boomer and I will have many happy years together. THANK YOU Ray and Pat for trusting your big, goofy boy with me. He is doing great!!!
Valerie Whitman - glad to be back in the Berner world!!
