Also with regard to the past worm I recieved through an e-mail, it attached itself to my address book, sent me e-mails from addresses listed in my address book who had not sent me e-mails....Now I have a virus protection system in place but it removes all e-mail attachments - is there a happy medium???

If you can open the full header and cut and paste it in an email to me, I can try to help you determine the source of the message.
