Farley is a Therapy Dog at Akron Children's Hospital. He is following is our Irish Wolfhound, Maddie's legacy. Farley loves his "job" with the kids, and all the other people that we seem to forget who need that happy hairball bouncing in to see them. (The parents, nurses, custodians, admitting, etc. Farley even has a favorite doctor that pages to see him when he finds out we are in the hospital visiting) It is amazing how much stess can be rubbed away on that belly, or traded with a shake of the paw. Believe me, those short coated breeds can't absorb nearly the amout of tears as our big Berner boys can. (I knew there was a good reason for all that hair :) Farley was part of Akron's First Night Celebration for New Years Eve at the Hospital. All of Akron was open to the public for a non-alcoholic family evening to celebrate the New Year. I cannot tell you the number of people that told me they were going to vote for Farley as there favorite part of the celebration. He has just been wonderful with the kids. With the small ones, I just make him do a down, to bring him to the little one's level and not quite so imtimidating. We both love it. Hope you will too. Kim Adams & Farley Seville, Ohio
