?PLEASE CROSSPOST - The following is from Renee Christina - if anyone can be of help, please contact her at the address below: I am trying to sue Petland, one of the largest pet retailers in the U.S., for fraud. A local couple in South Carolina bought a puppy, after having been assured it was AKC registered. The pup almost immediately developed serious problems, and is going blind. The folks never got their AKC papers, and came to me. I learned that: 1. The sire is not AKC registered, so the litter can't be registered; 2. That the breeder is a puppy mill in Missouri (I want to sue them, too) which cranks out litter after litter of all sorts of pups; 3. That the sire is not registered because during a DNA audit, they found that the DNA does not match the dog; 4. that Petland KNEW about this, as they were being sued in Hagarstown, MD over a pup from the same breeder, and with the same sire; and 5. that Petland knowingly lied to my clients about the AKC status. I want to file a class action suit, nationwide, against Petland and the breeder. The help I need is this: I need names and contact info for as many people as I can find who purchased pups from Petland in the U.S. (they sell in multiple other countries as well), were told the pups were AKC registered, and then either never got their paperwork or found out the dogs weren't registered. I need about 30 people who have been defrauded. This is an opportunity to take down a puppy mill and a pet store in a lawful fashion. If you can pass this e-mail on, I'd appreciate it.
