Hi All, It's so much fun hearing how everyone picked their pet names. My berner was named Thor because my husband insisted and wouldn't listen to anything else. He was Q litter so his registered name is Oberland's Quentin Thor. I wanted to call him Bear but being close to the Rocky Mountains like we are here in Calgary, I was worried we'd call him while we were camping and have everyone think there was a bear! The next dog was a little girl Tibetan Mastiff. I told my hsband is was my turn to pick a name. I really struggled but one day I came home to find my outdoor sports magazine in the mail and there was a feature on the Taku river valley. She was from an F litter so her registered name became Himalaya's Freya Taku. Taku is Tlinglet for wild goose call. Tlinglet are a group of native peoples on the British Columbia, Yukon, Alaska border. Our 3rd dog, also a Tibetan Mastiff, came to us as an 8 month old rescue. He was an American dog, born on September 11th, and had the name Captain American. We just couldn't cal
