Hi Andrea,
You're not expecting visitors in the near future by any chance, are
you? I've found this is a sure fire signal for females to start
blowing coat :-).
My two (spayed) girls are shedding big time, stand them head into the
wind and it looks like a flock of blackbirds flying down the road!
We went through all this in the spring and I thought I was over
finding the black hair slicks all over the house, at least until
later this year. But then they caught wind of the impending visit of
friends from America and have been liberally plastering the house
with their coats ever since... Good job they're Berner people and
are used to hairy beds, hairy coffee, hairy tea-and-toast... (Hope
I'm not putting my visitors off!!)
Strangely Toby isn't losing any more of his coat than usual, but I
suspect he's just waiting until the day before they arrive, just to
keep me on my toes and my Dyson extra busy <g>.
I've also come up with another theory about blowing coat, that the
more you work to get rid of the offending loose hair, the more there
is to remove...
