grooming question

OK, I'm about to show what a crummy groomer I am for the boys by asking 
this question. Fortunately, they aren't in any beauty contests.

I've heard several of you mention blow-drying them. I have never done 
this. Frankly, I don't even dry my own hair, and don't even own a 
blow-dryer. What is the advantage of blowing them dry vs. letting them 
air-dry and then brushing them?
