I believe the catch is that you're automatically renewing the contract term for
those lines for another 2 years.
You might want to double check that.
In my experience, nothing is free from AT&T, or any other wireless carrier.

Subject: [Bes-admins] An FYI for everyone

I just spoke with my AT&T rep and RIM has a promotion on until the end of this
month (4/30) that says if your phone line is available for an upgrade you can
get the Pearl (black, red), 8310 (red or titanium), 8320 (black or blue) for
free, and the Bold is $100 off making it $199 instead of $299. Zero catch, I
said so I can get brand new phones for the heck of it even if we don't need it,
and the phones are FREE, he said yes. People are not supposed to tell you about
this, but only if they ask - so I felt like it was my civic duty to let
everyone know about this. I'm in the process of getting 120 brand new
blackberries for free.

AT&T is the only one doing this for free, and Verizon is doing a buy one get
one free deal. Good until the end of this month. So I suggest everyone call up
their reps and see how many lines they have available to do the upgrade.

Todd
