I think I understand - my explanation - an application policy defines an
application and is contained in a software configuration - a software
configuration can be assigned to a user or group.  a software configuration can
have multiple application policies but a user or group can have only one
software configuration assigned.

Make sense?

Subject: [Bes-admins] Applying multiple software packages to a Group

I am running BES 4.1.6.

I know how to create packages and apply them to groups/people/application
policy etc.

However, at this juncture, I only seem to be able to apply one at a time.  For
example, I apply ‘application1’ to group ‘ABC’.  I make ‘application2’ and want
to apply that to ‘ABC’ as well, but when I apply that new application to the
group, ‘Application1’ seems to lose its policy over the end users.  i.e.
application1 that was originally required, is now able to be uninstalled.

Does this make sense?  Sorry, I don’t have a lot of experience with managing
the software configurations.
