Rich, I think that's somehow the problem. He was a member of most administrative groups and was using BIS. When he asked me to put him on BPS on Friday, I removed all of the administrative security groups from his regular account and created a separate administrative account for him, as I did for myself. Then I put his regular account on BPS.
Here is where I am starting to think things went wrong. He did not log out after I removed the privileges from his regular account, so as I understand it, he still has those privileges until he does. So, in answer to your question, I think he is still an administrative user, even though I configured him not to be. Assuming that is the problem, will it fix itself after a log out/log in, or do I need to remove him from BPS first, and not put him back until after his unprivileged re-log in? -- Art Alexion MIS/Central Office Support Resources for Human Development (sent from my cell phone) ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc. <[email protected]> Sent: Mon Oct 19 17:14:41 2009 Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Which log file Is this user a member of any protected AD groups such as Domain Admins, etc? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Art Alexion Sent: Monday, October 19, 2009 5:05 PM To: A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc. Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Which log file Not seeing anything odd with this account. A couple of follow up questions: 1. What are people using as a log viewer. I have kiwi, but find it unsatisfactory. 2. He says he hasn't been able to send since he was put into BES. He receives. He was the first account moved from Exchange 2003 to 2007 as an experiment. Then we moved him back. That's when I put him on BES. Could that have an effect on this? If so, any suggestions for a solution? Thanks.
