Hello Clark,

When are you getting this message? Are you getting it when you are trying to
create a MAPI profile for BES service account or when you are trying to run the
service?

Depending on your answer, it sounds to me that you do not have correct version
of CDO/MAPI installed. Did you install Exchange management tools on the BES
server? If you did not - here is your problem. If you did, do you have a
problem running the ESM and connecting to the Exchange while logged on as
BESAdmin from that machine?

BTW - I think there is no such thing and SP4 for Windows Server 2003.

Subject: [Bes-admins] New to BES

I have tried for the last week to install BES. I seem to be missing something.
I am running BES on a Windows Server 2003 SP4 box. I have Exchange Server 2000.
I can't seem to get MAPI to connect to my Exchange server for lookups. The
error I get is "The name could not be resolved" . I am trying this in the Edit
MAPI area of the control panel in the BlackBerry Configuration tab. I am
running BES 4.1.4.3.

Please help!
