That’s a policy I think we might need to look into again…

Your Bes is out of the picture on this one. This scenario is where the time limit kill is useful. If the blackberry doesn't contact the bes in so many hours, the device wipes itself. ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Tue Jul 27 16:52:30 2010 Subject: [Bes-admins] BES User Wipe Question Hey all, Rest assured, this will be a Droid X/iPhone free question. I have a user who lost his BB this weekend. Sent wipe command out, still no ACK response. Question is this, can I delete his account in BAS and recreate a new one while the wipe command is still pending? I am assuming that the wipe command is present for the PIN in lieu of the user – assuming this, does the wipe command just simply sit out on the cloud somewhere waiting to see the associated PIN come online? If so, do you know how long this sits out on the cloud? *whew* Lastly, do you ever bother reviewing the remote wipe of devices? I would like to have some internal policy set up on this in case we ever are audited from some outside agency (Government stuff…*bleh*) “Be the change you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi ____________________________________________________ Mark Eggan | ITS Help Desk | (707) 259 -8142 Information Systems Specialist II P Please consider your environmental responsibility before printing this e-mail NOTICE: This electronic mail transmission from the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl may constitute an attorney-client communication that is privileged at law.
