FYI: I think I made a post about this a while ago, after installing a Dell EMS email continuity agent, a lot of other 3rd party apps stopped working correctly (google maps, redfly app, att telenav). This was because the dell agent was deployed using a software configuration in BES 5. Issue doesnt occur in BES 4.x
I finally came across this post[1] and it seems to have fixed the issue. Having one app installed invokes a stronger security policy that denies things like GPS, phone, screen, and a few other things under the Software tab> Manage application control policies for unlisted applications > Standard Unlisted Optional heading, Access settings tab. I changed everything to allow that was set to prompt. Google Maps couldn't deal with having it set to prompt, it required allow.
