Thanks Jonathan - I promise I did lots of searching but clearly wasn't using
the right terms.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Exchange 2010 SP1 and address book throttling

Morning all,

>From the config guide to setting up a BES server with Exchange 2010, the
>following is noted:

By default, Microsoft(r) Exchange 2010 limits the maximum number of connections
from the BlackBerry(r) Enterprise Server to the Address Book service to 50. To
permit the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to run, you must increase the number of
permitted connections to a large value (for example, 100,000).
1. On the computer that hosts the Microsoft Exchange CAS server, in
<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Bin, in a text editor,
open the microsoft.exchange.addressbook.service.exe.config file.
2. Change the value of the MaxSessionsPerUser key to 100000.
3. Save and close the file.
4. Restart the Address Book service.

On my Exchange 2010 SP1 CAS servers, the MaxSessionsPerUser key does not exist.

Does anyone know whether:

1. Microsoft have removed the MaxConnectionsPerUser key and simply made
it unlimited or
2. I need to add the key to the config file manually?

Thanks for any assistance.

Richard
