You are welcome. I am glad I could help. This problem tripped me up for a bit
tonight until I had my ah ha moment.

Craig,

Looks like that was the problem. Don't know if you are just a night owl or
happen to be working on something yourself ... but thanks a million.

Can't believe that wasn't listed in a forum somewhere.

Wes,
I just ran into this error tonight as I was upgrading my BESX to SP2. Turns
out I had my BESAdmin account hidden from the Global Address List. Once I
showed the account in the Global Address List I was able to proceed with the
install.

Subject: [Bes-admins] BES 5.0 SP2 Install Problem

Have just upgraded to BES 5.0 SP2.

As I go through the setup on the BES server (not BAS) I get to the part where I
enter the MAPI settings. Everything is correct, however when I click Next, I
get the following error:

The setup application could not initialize the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI
client. Make sure that MAPI is installed and configured correctly and the
Microsoft Exchange Server and mailbox that you specified are correct.

I've gone through the steps I found on the knowledgebase (downloaded and
installed most recent CDO) - article KB15779.

Nothing is working. There has to be one little step I'm missing.
