You can try setting him up for a one-way sync from device to server. Once the
contacts show-up in exchange, change it back to bi-directional.

Subject: [Bes-admins] BB Handset calendar and contact sync

We had an engineer delete all transaction logs, as well as a couple of files
that one ought not delete from an Exchange server. We are currently performing
a dB repair and had to create new email profiles for those affected users. A
small subnet of these affected users use our BES. One of these BES users was
not running Outlook in cache mode and has lost all calendar and contact items.
He does have a copy on his handset which is current not being touched by the
BES.

My question is, can't we connect him using BB Desktop Software and sync his
calendar and contacts from his handset to Outlook? I'm looking for a push from
the handset to Outlook. We'll perform a backup of the handset, of course, but
I'd like to throw this out there to see if someone else has performed this
successfully.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul-
