Code name was Essex, then initial thoughts were it was going to be the Tour 2, but it was rebranded the Bold before it ever went to market, becuase verizon thought "Bold" had a better brand image than "Tour" although they managed to screw up their naming conventions of 9000/9700s being Bold's...
