After the fact: Correct, no 4g Blackberrys, but evidently the outage impacted the 3g network as well and there are such things as 3g BlackBerrys.

Maybe it is just semantics, but the statement that they "stepped down to 1XEVDO" made it sound like they were using LTE or something "above" EVDO. I'm guessing the original poster meant the BlackBerrys stepped down to 1xRTT from EVDO. FYI, Verizon tweeted about two hours ago that the LTE network is now back online. ________________________________ Ron Mendoza State of California From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Don Andrews Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 4:14 PM To: [email protected]; A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc. Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Verizon 4g network outage 3G will step down to 1X - mine is 9550. ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: "A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc." <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 4:08 PM Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Verizon 4g network outage There are no 4G BlackBerrys ----- Original Message ---- From: Mendoza.Ronald <[email protected]> To: "A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc." <[email protected]> Sent: Wed, April 27, 2011 12:34:35 PM Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Verizon 4g network outage Verizon first posted about it on Twitter about 3 hours ago. http://twitter.com/VerizonWireless I wasn't aware of any LTE BlackBerrys; what are your models "stepping down to 1XEVDO" from?
