We are beginning this investigation as well. Of particular interest is the ability to wipe corporate email from any device with/without affecting personal settings. I know there is talk of BES supporting other devices in the future, but we are looking at stepping away from the expense of BES in general for many of our users.
We have always supported the notion that one platform is easier to support, but if we move away from that, it would be to a standpoint of providing access to email, calendar, contacts, but not much more than that. I am interested to see where this conversation will go... ____________________________________________ Dan Mathews CTI Systems Administrator Duncan Solutions, Inc. Phone: 414.847.3747 I am sending this to all 3 groups (BES-Admins, iPhone-Chat, Android-Chat) in hopes of reaching the largest audience. I apologize of you are members of all three groups and receive this request multiple times. We have always been a Blackberry shop and are now getting ready to allow our users to pick between Blackberry, iPhone or Android. I'm wondering if anyone has put together a comparison grid with pro's and con's of each platform? Something like this: Blackberry Best for email Fair for web Fair for social media iPhone OK for email Best for web Best for social media Android OK for email Best for web Best for social media Thanks! d Darhl Thomason | SysAdmin?| Business Technology Papa Murphy?s Int'l. | d 360-449-4044 | c 360-607-5617 | www.papamurphys.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ Join the TAKE 'N' BAKE REVOLUTION! www.facebook.com/papamurphyspizza<http://www.facebook.com/papamurphyspiz za> "#1 Rated Pizza Chain" - ZAGAT 2010 National Restaurant Chains Survey (r) _______________________________________________ Bes-Admins mailing list [email protected] http://www.dataoutages.com/mailman/listinfo/bes-admins http://www.dataoutages.com http://www.dataoutagenews.com RSS Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Bes-admins --------------------------------- Bes-Admins mailing list is sponsored by Dataoutagenews.com. http://www.dataoutagenews.com
