It does need to be on a separate server from BES, uses Activesync. My understanding is that the server software is free, cost is in licenses. Keep in mind, it does not replace BES, though can interface with it. BB10 devices go on Mobile Fusion, 7 and under stay on BES. We are looking at Good, as we don't want to have to use Activesync. I'm not expecting a huge demand for BB10.
From: David.Ricci [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2012 12:45 PM To: A list for BES Admin's to discuss issues, etc. <[email protected]> Subject: [Bes-admins] Question on Mobile Fusion Just checking in to see if anyone has tried this product yet? How many products and cals are actually involved with these new features. I see that there is a demo download. Is this installed on another server? I currently only have 50 devices on Bes version 5.0.3 MR 6 (Bundle 163), and am still on Exchange 2003 enterprise. I am getting hounded to allow people to use their own phones. I have looked at Airwatch, Maas360 and Mobile Iron, and Good Technology. It would be nice to do it all from one interface. Before I called RIM or dove into the documentation. I thought I would ask the real experts, the Admin’s, for their opinion. Any info would be great thanks for your help.
