Subject: Re: [bess] WG Last Call and IPR Poll for
draft-ietf-bess-bgp-sdwan-usage-05

Hi WG,

I support the WGLC with the following comments. Hope the authors can address
them:

  * The Section 3.2 title “Homogeneous SDWAN” is a little confusing. I lead a
team implementing and deploying the SD-WAN, we never used this term. How about
“Homogenous encryption” for Section 3.2 and “Differentiated Encryption” for
Section 3.3?
  * As for the reasons of using BGP, can you make the reasons more explicit?
For example, using “Simplified Peer Authentication” for the Bullet #1; using
“Scalable IPsec Tunnel management” for Bullet #2; and using “Simplified IPsec
traffic selection configurations” for Bullet #3.
  * The document has used multiple terms to describe the SD-WAN edge, such as
“SD-WAN edge”, “SD-WAN nodes, etc.”. It is better to use the term “ SDWAN edge”
across the entire document.
  *

Thanks&Regards

Victo Sheng
