We need to discuss the following sections and topics:
* Section 3.1.1 - Encapsulation Tunnel - needs error handling in text,
clear definition of AFI/SAFI + SubTLVs supported
These statements apply to all of the new tunnels definitions:
* Define which AFI/SAFIs the tunnel can be associated,
* What subTLVs are required to found in the tunnel TLV and which are
optional,
* Are there any interactions between subTLVs (required and optional), and
* Error handling.
* Section 3.1.2 - Load Balance tunnel - Is only 1 SubTLV allowed or is one
additional subTLV defined for it.
* Section 3.1.3 - draft-ietf-idr-segment-routing-te-policy - has been split
into 2 documents. Please change your text.
* Section 3.1.4 - The subTLV Receiving MPLS Label Stack needs to have each
parameters specified. Each parameter can refer to a previous draft.
* Section 3.1.5. - is "sorta" describing a reserved field and "sorta" not.
Please determine if you want a reserved field.
* Section 3.1.6 - see above common questions.
* Section 3.1.7 - putting a TEA in another TEA needs to have careful
definitions of the questions above + plus what TEA can be encapsulated.
* Section 3.2 - phrase "The Length field implies the type of the address."
Is not precise. Please add a bit here.
* Section 3.3 - are you specifying 1 or 2 New Extended Communities in the
following text.
"The MCAST NACK Extended Community is an MCAST Extended Community with a
sub-type TBD9 to be assigned by IANA. The MCAST Extended Community is a new
Extended Community with a type TBD8 to be assigned by IANA." Do you need an
IPv4 and IPv6 address support?
* Section 3.4 and 3.5- valid ranges for fields in the packet need to be
added.
* Section 3.5 - Are IPv4 and IPv6 address supported? If so, how do you
detect each one?
Section 4.3.2 - Paragraph 5, it is not clear how the logic works in bullet
points 2,3,4
* Section 6 -
1. Format of IANA pages seems a bit odd. Do want some of these to be expert
review?
2. Please revise after looking at draft-ietf-idr-segment-routing-te-policy
